RCA Studio B Tour -- A music lover must see!
Nashville, TN has been one of my most favorite places to visit. Back in 2017 we took a trip to celebrate my college graduation. It's a city with so much to see and do! The kind of place you can visit multiple times and do different things every time. As with all my trips, I like to find places off the beaten path or something different to do. Of course, we had to visit The Mother Church of Country Music (The Ryman), Grand Ole Opry, and Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Those are well-known Nashville staples. But one place you may or may not have heard of is RCA Studio B.
Historic RCA Studio B is where the "Nashville Sound" was born. As a music lover, this was one of the best parts of the trip! A true Nashville experience that I always recommend to friends/family that are going to visit. The tour bus leaves from the Country Music Hall of Fame-- so it's a good idea to plan to visit the hall of fame and RCA studio on the same day.
When arriving at the studio you will walk through the doors that many famous people have walked through. Dolly Parton, Waylon Jennings, Elvis Presley, Chet Akins, Eddy Arnold, the Everly Brothers, Porter Wagoner, and many more talented artists recorded famous songs and hits here. It's almost as if you can picture them pulling up to the studio for the day to do some recording.
At one point in the tour, they will turn the lights down to different colors and play a clip of a song that was recorded in the studio. How Great Thou Art by Elvis Presley was the song played the day I went. It gave me chills. Felt as if Elvis was standing in the room recording live. CHILLS!
You will have the opportunity to stand on the X where the singers stood while recording or sit at the famous piano where many have played. A really cool experience, especially if you love music.
